All About Kris and Listing Photographs
Hi! I'm Kris Steels, and want to personally thank you for your interest in Listing Photographs.
I've loved photography for as long as I can remember. I grew up in Wrightstown, Wisconsin, and became interested in cameras way back in 1980, as a member of the Wrightstown 4-H Club. My Dad had a Pentax SLR 35mm film camera; and from the moment I picked it up, I was hooked. Of course, that was before digital cameras and Photoshop software . . . but I learned more about lighting, composition, and exposure on that old camera than I ever could have on today's point & shoot models.
In 2004, I left my management job at a local machine shop to launch a career in real estate. I was newly married, and my husband and I were planning to start a family as soon as possible. I simply didn't have the flexibility I needed in management, and thought real estate would allow me to balance my professional life with my family time.
However, I have the entrepreneurial spirit, and wasn't truly happy working for a real estate company in the Green Bay area. I dreamed of owning my own business; but found it difficult to pursue any outside opportunities while spending afternoons in the office and evenings working with clients.
In August of 2006, I purchased a digital SLR camera; and once again, found a passion in working with photography. I turned in my Realtor license, and began shooting photos of local homes for family members and friends. One thing led to another, and I "officially" opened the doors of Listing Photographs!
Now, I can honestly say that I love what I do! Listing Photographs has allowed me to find beauty all around the neighborhoods of Northeast Wisconsin, and I'd be thrilled to work with you to showcase the magnificence of your home!
